Erasure

Decided to spend my night in rearranging my room (now my sewing/work space is SO SO much bigger!!! what was I thinking the past year and a half!??!) and stumbled upon a box of my old moleskins... naturally i stop to leaf through to find interesting/bizarre musings from late nights past -- and I find a great entry - a good reminder --

Bruce said in an email -- speaking of Walt Whitman -- that it takes "great fortitude...to follow the muse...that lives inside."

Bruce (my former Parsons professor/forever mentor) has been such a great influence on my own "fortitude" as he too as worked long and hard to make it in the art world... and i'm glad i wrote down those words... bc, through over two years of spam to filter through...twas not likely i would ever come across that email again... 

is it wrong that i get the same feelings of perseverance when i listen to miley cyrus's "the climb" ?!! 

on repeat... seriously....
